Biography
Son of former C’bury five-eighth Garry Hughes came of age at semi-final time in 1994 when he secured a centre spot in the club's grand final side that lost to Canberra. A knee injury suffered in the 1995 pre-season saw him miss much of that year and a similar fate awaited him C’bury’s Super League season in 1997. Hughes returned to his best form the following year, playing in the club’s President’s Cup premiership win in 1998, but injury ruled him out of the entire 2000 season.
