The Australian press in 1970 labeled this forward as the slowest to ever come out of England.
I was at this Test as a 16 year old.
Following a kick charge down that rebounded off his stomach, he regathered and out paced the Aussie defence to score the try.
We all left the SCG shell shocked. It was the last time England won a test series.
