Biography
Former Tamworth centre joined Norths President's Cup side while at boarding school. A robust player, Harris represented NSW in 1975 at a time where he was beginning to gravitate towards the forwards. His decision to play with C’bury in 1975-76 became the focus of a contractual dispute but he later returned to Norths, giving great service to the club for another seven seasons.

Nicknamed "Crash Harris" due to his dynamic style of crash tackling, especially in the centres.

The best front on tackler of his time, no other player worried him. Little wonder his nickname was Crash.

Ferocious tackler, hence the nickname "Crash".

One of the best and fairest tackling players I ever saw. His contemporaries respected him and knew he played hard but fair. I still remember running onto North Sydney Oval after Norths beat Souths in the final round of the 1973 competition and saying to Keith Harris that it was the best 21st present I could have hoped for. He was, is and forever will be, in my mind, a gentleman!

Ferociuos defender. His nickname was "Crash". Many players were wary of him.

The nick name crash is not from footy but from an actual crash ????
